The overlay of basic geometric forms creates an essential but also symbolic design, where cones and cylinders become respectively containers of water and light: synonyms of nascent energy, generators of new life.
The top of the vases is made in porcelain and can be used for flowers or to contain objects, while the methacrylate base functions as a rechargeable lamp. The result is a collection of apparently conventional objects, which are nevertheless capable of generating small domestic metamorphoses: “lamps that bloom” or “vases that light up” in a novel juxtaposition of form and function, craftsmanship and technology, industry and poetry.

Architect Luca De Bona and designer Dario De Meo met somewhere between Milan and the Veneto region, embarking on a collaboration that drew inspiration from their journey to create designs that responded to contemporary living needs. In 2013, they founded Debonademeo Studio based in Padua andMilan and began to collaborate with a variety of prestigious furniture, lighting and décor companies, handling interior design, art direction, concept design and product development.Their collaboration is both fairly specific and wide-reaching, re-interpreting and merging various fields – such as architecture, design, graphics and art – in order to create innovative environments and objects that tell stories and evoke certain emotions in end users. Their projects, which blend romantic expression with a more industrial feel, have appeared in numerous national and international magazines. In addition to their design work, they both teach at various institutions and universities in the field.
